The violin was handed to me when I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and by some miracle I stuck with it through my formative years- mostly thanks to my artist father and healer mother, who encouraged creativity and freedom. My exploits with the violin have since taken me many places. From my studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to stints of study in India, Greece and Turkey. Through a full spectrum of venues, from underground venues in the cities of Europe and Japan through to large concert halls around the world including the iconic ones such as the Sydney Opera House, London's Royal Festival Hall and Carnegie Hall.

My strong foundation in classical technique, as well my studies in jazz, folk and improvisation, continue to inform me in my adventures with a range of folk styles and original music. My aim is to retain the dexterity and ability acquired from classical training whilst expanding vocabulary in style, ornamentation, colour, tone and expression. This journey with the violin is now newly accompanied by adventures with songwriting for viola and voice. I am now also offering violin and viola lessons here in my new home town of Portland, Oregon.
